From Ropeway Summit Station, you may wish to take a scenic ride on our 2 mountain chairlifts, bringing you 1,174m high up to Mt. Horai.
Perching on the greenery peak , “Café 360” is at your service for short breaks.

A large arch-shaped wooden tiered-seats terrace, takes centre stage on the slopes of Mt. Horai, overlooking the stunning Ohmi Region. Have a seat and be delighted by the breathtaking scenery of Lake Biwa, city skyline of Kyoto and Osaka, and stretching as far out to the many mountains from the Sea of Japan side too. On very clear days (few times in a year), catching good views of mountains rising 3,000m and above adjoining to the Southern Alps is possible.

Premium Seats

When the weather is good, you can sit in a premium seat. The spacious rounded sofa is perfect for two adults to sit side by side. A shell-shaped sunshade allows you to sit in privacy.

Access to Café 360

Please use the Horai Lift to reach Café 360. The Uchimi Lift also runs on weekends and during summer break. Access takes about 20 minutes from the gondola summit station by using the Horai Lift and about 30 minutes by walking.
